On March 3, Beijing time, the Trail Blazers officially announced the assignment of Yang Hansen to their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. Reports from on-site journalists indicate Hansen is very likely to play in today's Remix matchup against the Iowa Wolves.

This season, Yang Hansen has played 37 games for the Trail Blazers, averaging 2.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game, with field goal shooting at 29.7%, three-point shooting at 12.5%, and free-throw shooting at 80.8%. He has struggled to earn meaningful playing time with the Trail Blazers, often only appearing during garbage time. For Hansen, going to the Remix for development and game action might be the better choice at this stage.
Additionally, Hansen has recently been dealing with back soreness and needs time to recuperate and regain full health as soon as possible.
In a separate report from noted journalist Shams Charania, the Trail Blazers have agreed to a two-way contract with rookie guard Chris Youngblood.

The 24-year-old Youngblood went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. A graduate of the University of Alabama, he initially signed a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder in October. The 6-foot-4 guard appeared in 32 games for the Thunder, averaging just 5.4 minutes per game and scoring 2.0 points.
As a two-way player, Youngblood saw very limited playing opportunities with the Thunder, especially after injured players returned, which led to the Thunder waiving him on February 10.
Youngblood received more playing time with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's G League affiliate. He played 10 games for the Blue, averaging 34.8 minutes per game and contributing 23.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals, while shooting 46.9% from the field and 32.7% from three-point range on 9.8 attempts per game.

After signing Youngblood, the Trail Blazers decided to waive Cook. Cook played 19 games for Portland and performed exceptionally well in the G League, averaging 22.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.9 steals for the Rip City Remix. Currently, the Trail Blazers have two two-way contract players (Youngblood and Love) and 15 standard contract players, meaning their 18-man roster is not yet full.
